I'm a Golden local, my husband and I have been shopping at this location for years. The joyful smiley employees have been what has kept us from going to Belmar or the Wash Park locations. However, we have both noticed a change in the employee happiness, as well as noticing how stressed they seem. My husband asked a few employees that we have known over the years, the responses we got seemed to all point to management. The long term employees my husband talked to said current management has stopped caring about the individual employee happiness. From here on out my husband and I will start taking our money to a location that values there employees. Keep in mind that your employees are what makes your store work.
May I make a suggestion?-
I have over 20,000.00 in bank and because your machines picked my card to malfunction and decline a perfectly good card, which I had been using all day elsewhere.
"Nope sorry still saying your card is no good"
Understand that your machine decline my card, it's a computer, capable of error but for whole foods to, put me on the spot and not except responsibility for such malfunction in the machine was unprofessional first of all. And second, the cashier wasn't concerned at all that I was publicly humiliated in front of other customers waiting in line by his comments.
My total was over $171.00
Even asked to call my bank for the whole foods cashier and confirmed everything on my end was good.
Store is on the smaller side for a Whole Foods, but staff is friendly and helpful. Not the best selection for bakery or meats but the produce section was well stocked and fresh. Need a coffee bar at this location.

In the future when a good paying customer's card is not accepted in your machine, by no fault of the customer, that your employees simply say " I'm sorry, the machine is not able to read your card for some reason"
I will never use whole foods again for my vitamin needs
