Super knowledgeable and friendly. They are not intimidating and will take as much time as needed to make sure you get the right bike. I've shopped at a lot of the bike shops around Denver, and they have been one of my favorites.
Golden Bike Shop is probably the best-known and most popular shop in town. They deal mostly with high-end mountain bikes, but also cross bikes and will service any type.
Accessory selection is adequate but you can tell they want to sell bikes more than bike stuff judging by the retail space.
Fantastic bike shop loaded with highly end bikes and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They know their bike brands extremely well. Huge shout out to Greg, Ryan, Griffin, and Wyatt for all the help with my bikes on the demo program. A great shop and I will be back.
One star down because the prices on some accessories can be above MSRP. For example, I was looking for a 27.5+ tire earlier this summer and GBS was the only shop in town with it in stock, but the price was 15% over the manufacturer price on the brand website. They will price-match some bikes, but not accessories. I would up ordering online with 2-day shipping and still came out well below the GBS sticker price.
Without question Golden BIke Shop has been one of the absolute top experiences I've ever had in my 20+ years of working with bike shops. All the way from my interactions with the shop owner to the sales reps on the floor, I was consistently impressed by the attention to detail of the quality of service being provided. Specifically I spent hours of time both in person and over the phone with Clay. Clay alone would make the experience at Golden Bike Shop a 10/10. Again - cannot say enough about GBS, my phenomenal experience with them, and of the outright excellence they provide on a daily basis.
Bike selection is above average but not always all the sizes you may want for anything but the most popular, hottest models of the season. However, they are the only shop I know of to consistently carry demos in XL sizes.
Friendly , knowledgeable staff. I was here from out of town and needed some quick fix work done on my bike. Staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely do business here again.
