I'm always greeted when I come into the store. They are very knowledgeable about the products they sell and if they aren't sure they will find out the information you are wanting. Some people are saying there are a lot wrong with this store, but everytime I go in I'm treated with respect. As for the dead fish, people fish die... they clean the tanks every night. It's part of life, shouldn't give them two starts because they can't get to them every second of everyday. Puppy play time is GREAT, and their dog trainer is amazing, and friendly. Will keep shopping there for my needs and my pets needs. Their staff is growing and changing and keep improving in my eyes. If you haven't been there in a while please give them another try. I have in the past gone out of my way to shop at PetSmart over a more conveniently located Petco, primarily because I think the selection and prices tend to be better. This particular Petco is an exception to my habit, for the singular reason that they employ the nicest, most incredibly helpful, and truly pet-crazy staff I've ever encountered at a big box anything store. SHOP HERE. You will find yourself suddenly at the register with $200 worth of products that you obviously need because look! It's a freaking dog treat slot machine and the nice lady found a coupon for it, 75% off!!! Yeah.... Dog. Treat. Slot machine. It lights up and dings and my dog is getting fat because I can't stop refilling it....
This is a great location for all my needs with my dog. They typically have a great deal on the Leaps and Bounds toys that I get when I buy dog food.
I usually take my dog here to get groomed. Recently, I took her here and when I had asked the cashier for change for a $20 to get the groomer a tip, she rolled her eyes and rudely told me, " In the future, you can't get change unless you pay with cash". I asked why I couldn't leave a tip on the my debit card then? She snapped "ITS TWO DIFFERENT DEPARTMENTS!". She got a manager to get me change and the manager rolled her eyes at me as well and was very rude. I would understand if I asked to break a $100, but I asked for 4- $5 bills to give the groomer a tip. You would think Petco would want their customers to tip their workers. This wasn't the first time I've dealt with rude employees here either. Unbelievable.
They're just so darn helpful. As I expect of most of golden businesses. I love it here.
