I attended Fairmount Elementary school from 1959 through the end of school year in 1962. K was in the old building, 1st though 3rd was in the new (current) building. I remember field day, falling off the jungle gym and cracking the back of head open, and learning Spanish as a second language. The bus ride past the Coors factory twice a day. Being Little Red Riding Hood in the 3rd grade play (in Spanish). I like school then, I moved to VA at the end of third grade and thus began my dislike of school. I remember only one name from Fairmount, too bad we grow older and forget the real good times.
My kids love Fairmount and it has a pretty strong school community.
